Visiting with a dog

The exhibition “Tomás Saraceno. Ancient Futures” features artworks for dogs that appeal to their unique sense of smell. During the summer months, from 16 July to 13 September 2026, we are inviting dog owners for the first time to visit one room of the exhibition with their dog free of charge.

Rules & Recommendation

Rules:

- The entrance to the exhibition space for dogs is on the east terrace, facing the Eisbach.

- This single exhibition space is accessible free of charge.

- Dogs are not permitted in any other rooms of the Haus der Kunst, and a standard admission ticket is required for these areas.

- Dogs must be accompanied by their owners and kept on a short lead.

- Owners are responsible for the dogs they bring with them.

- There are no restrictions regarding size or breed. Dogs should be well-socialised and free from infectious diseases.

- Please take responsibility for your dog’s hygiene and clear up any mess they may make.

- Puppies and bitches in heat are not permitted.

- We require proof of valid vaccination and liability insurance for your dog.

Recommendation:

We recommend planning your visit to the exhibition with your dog so that you come as a pair and take turns looking after your four-legged friend whilst the rest of the exhibition is visited without the dog.

Meanwhile, the English Garden is a wonderful place for a walk. In this case, we recommend that you purchase a standard full-price admission ticket straight away and visit the entire exhibition in one go.

Opening Hours

Wed–Mon 10 am – 8 pm | Closed on Tuesdays
Free admission every last Friday of the month from 4 pm – 10 pm
The exhibitions close 15 minutes earlier.
