Artworks

We are committed to preserving high-quality artworks and cultural assets. To ensure their protection, please maintain a minimum distance of 50 cm from the exhibits. Do not touch the artworks or lean on display cases or pedestals.

Food and Drink

For conservation reasons, food and drink are not permitted in the exhibition spaces.

You are welcome to refresh yourself at Goldene Bar, the café and restaurant in the back of Haus der Kunst.

During live events, beverages may be brought into the performance room unless otherwise restricted for artistic or safety reasons. In such cases, you will be informed on site.

Visiting with Children

We are dedicated to introducing even the youngest guests to art. However, children are generally not yet familiar with the safety requirements of an exhibition space. Therefore, we ask that children under the age of 12 be accompanied by adults. For school groups, supervision by at least one responsible adult per ten children under the age of 13 is required.

Closing Hours

We kindly ask you to make your way toward the exit 15 minutes before closing time. Haus der Kunst normally closes at 8 p.m.

Inclusion is a core value at Haus der Kunst. We offer tours in German Sign Language as well as tactile tours for blind and visually impaired visitors. For more information, please contact: +49 89 211 27 113.

The main entrance of Haus der Kunst can be accessed via a ramp from Prinzregentenstraße 1. The building features an accessible restroom and an elevator that provides access to all exhibition spaces except the LSK-Galerie.

For exhibitions or events in the LSK-Galerie: The rooms of the LSK-Galerie are accessible via the parking lot and are also equipped with a stair lift leading to the exhibition.

We are happy to provide loaner wheelchairs for your visit.

Due to the architectural nature of the historic building, we are not yet able to fully meet all accessibility needs in every case. For assistance, especially when visiting the LSK-Galerie, please contact us in advance: +49 89 211 27 113.

Mobility aids may, of course, be brought into the exhibitions. Strollers are permitted in the exhibition spaces (with the exception of the LSK-Galerie), provided that the artworks and the current visitor capacity allow it. Please note that the judgment and instructions of our supervisory staff is to be followed at all times.
