Press release
Artist Maria VMier (b. 1985, Passau, Germany), based in Munich and New York, creates a new commission unfolding across multiple sites within the building of Haus der Kunst. Informed by the oral histories of staff members who have worked at the institution for decades, VMier works in situ to produce a constellation of interconnected artworks: a site-specific installation in the Staff Entrance, parasitic sculptures, a new series of works on paper, and an artist book produced for the occasion.
