Info
On the last Friday of every month, Haus der Kunst transforms into a vibrant gathering place for everyone who enjoys art, music and community. From 4 – 10 pm, we open our doors with free admission – to our exhibitions and to a diverse programme that reinvents itself each month: creative workshops, performances, short guided tours, DJ sets, participatory formats, conversations with artists, researchers, activists and much more.
From May 2025 on, the Munich-based music label Public Possession is a regular part of Open Haus. Their new programme, “Bonus”, brings together sound, graphics and communities.
Programme in September
We’ll bring the summer to a close together with a communal meal and a public listening session.
- 4 pm – 9 pm, Atelier: Together with our partners from Über den Tellerrand kochen München e.V., we’ll be preparing an intercultural menu – featuring vegetables, herbs and other seasonal ingredients from the Community Garden Ostwiese, which has been growing at Haus der Kunst this year. There’ll be chopping, cooking, laughter and conversation. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy the meal together at a large table.
Every stage is an important part of the shared experience – from preparation and cooking right through to the joint conclusion. We welcome any helping hands:
- Preparation & Cooking: 4 pm – 5.30 pm
- Cooking & Plating up: 5 pm – 6.30 pm
- Communal meal: approx. 6.30 pm
- Wrap-up & Tidying up: 7.45 pm – 9 pm
You want to get involved? Then grab a free ticket for the slot of your choice! There’ll also be opportunities to join in at short notice!
- 4 pm – 9 pm, Terrassensaal: Public Possession Bonus is running a non-alcoholic cocktail workshop, with music, as always, with the P.P. sound system.
- 8 pm – 9 pm, Auditorium: Following the communal dinner, Francesca Ceccherini and Kaur Chimuk invite you to the co-listening ritual Where are we?.
Come along and enjoy the evening with all your senses. We're looking forward to seeyou!
The evening is supported by the Italian Council.
Please note:
- Unfortunately, the art work Algo-R(h)i(y)thms in the exhibition "Tomás Saraceno in collaboration. Ancestral Futures" cannot be played during Open Haus.
