About the Exhibition Guide

This book was published on conjunction with the exhibition “Postwar: Art Between the Pacific and the Atlantic, 1945–1965.”

For the first time in recent exhibition history, the show explored the turbulent and eventful postwar period as a global phenomenon. Across eight chapters, it guided visitors through the first 20 years after the war. This in-depth, globally oriented exhibition presented paintings, sculptures, installations, collages, performances, films, artist books, documents, and photographs—350 works in total by 218 artists from 65 countries.

Published by Okwui Enwezor, Katy Siegel and Ulrich Wilmes.
Texts by Adrianna Campbell, Tiffany Floyd, Yan Geng, Megan Hines, Damian Lentini, Nicolas Linnert, Daniel Milnes, Ady Nugeraha, Amy Rahn, Tim Roerig, Gemma Sharpe, Petronela Soltész, Joseph Underwood, Caroline V. Wallace and Rachel Wetzler.

The exhibition guide is available in English and German.
