Haus der Kunst is pleased to announce a successful 2022 and the ongoing high level of visitor interest in the exhibitions and events at the museum. During the Christmas holidays, there were twice as many visitors recorded as in other average weeks. The Open House (previously 1st Thursday, from January on last Friday of the month) with free admission is also very popular, with an average of over 2,000 visits per day.
The exhibition by Fujiko Nakaya was particularly successful in 2022, with the highest number of visitors in the recent history of Haus der Kunst in the last ten years. Dumb Type, Carsten Nicolai, Tony Cokes, and Joan Jonas also performed above average.
Overall, 2022 was an extremely successful year for Haus der Kunst, with the attendance figures even slightly above 100% of pre-pandemic attendance. We are delighted by this appreciation of the programme and the new vision of Andrea Lissoni.
