Info
On Archives Day 2026, Haus der Kunst invites you to take a look behind the scenes and to learn more about its history. Guided tours give visitors an insight into the historical archive and rooms that are not open to the public, such as the furniture depot and the historic boiler room. Sabine Brantl, head of the archive, will guide visitors through the building. Through selected documents and materials, the tour delves into the building’s original aesthetic and functional significance while highlighting its current role as a space for contemporary art. This also raises the question of how we remember and what significance archives have for our future.
In addition, an open workshop programme from 12 to 4.00 pm invites visitors to participate, without registration and without age restrictions.
Tickets available soon. Limited number of participants.
