On the last Friday of every month, Haus der Kunst transforms into a vibrant gathering place for everyone who enjoys art, music and community. From 4 – 10 pm, we open our doors with free admission – to our exhibitions and to a diverse programme that reinvents itself each month: creative workshops, performances, short guided tours, DJ sets, participatory formats, conversations with artists, researchers, activists and much more.
From May 2025 on, the Munich-based music label Public Possession is a regular part of Open Haus. Their new programme, “Bonus”, brings together sound, graphics and communities.
April programme:
- 2 – 7 pm, Community Garden: All hands on! We plan to build up to 10 raised beds on the green space between Haus der Kunst and the Eisbach. The raised beds will be wheelchair-accessible and of varying heights, so that everyone can really get in on the gardening action in the community garden. Once we’ve built the raised beds, we’ll fill them in layers with branches, leaves and soil.
- 6.30 pm – 7 pm, Nordgalerie: Talks & Tours with the curators Jana Baumann and Raphael Fonseca on “Sandra Vásquez de la Horra. Soy Energia”
Information for visiting the exhibition “For Children. Art Stories since 1968” during Open Haus:
- No registration required.
- Ernesto Neto’s Environment Uni Verso Bebé II Lab will not be accessible during Open Haus.
- Drawing in the Mittelhalle will take place until 6 pm during Open Haus.
