On the last Friday of every month, Haus der Kunst transforms into a vibrant gathering place for everyone who enjoys art, music and community. From 4 – 10 pm, we open our doors with free admission – to our exhibitions and to a diverse programme that reinvents itself each month: creative workshops, performances, short guided tours, DJ sets, participatory formats, conversations with artists, researchers, activists and much more.
From May 2025 on, the Munich-based music label Public Possession is a regular part of Open Haus. Their new programme, “Bonus”, brings together sound, graphics and communities.
Programme in July:
- 4 – 9 pm, Terrasse: Public Possession Bonus: You can create your own P.P. Poster. We will provide a variety of P.P. motifs that will invite you to assemble, spray, tag & mix your posters. Get inspired by the new exhibitions and join us for music and fun!
- 4 – 10 pm Community Garden Ostwiese: Open Salon with the may kollektiv. The may kollektiv presents between the paths, a temporary installation comprising three ceramic benches. These invite visitors to linger, reflect and engage in conversation. The starting point for their reflections is the often-forgotten life stories of the children of Black US soldiers and white German women after 1945. They demonstrate that the end of the war did not mark a genuine new beginning for society. At 6 pm, there will be an introduction on between the paths with the may collective and Dr. Silke Hackenesch.
