"Mega Please Draw Freely" – Buttons
Mittelhalle
Using the leftover floor foil from Ei Arakawa Nash's installation in the Mittelhalle, we will make buttons that you can take home with you.
Playground – Haus der Kunst x Public Possession
Terrassensaal & Terrasse
There will be table tennis tables, tabletop football and a bouncy castle – last chance to be wild kids!
Photo Wall – Public Possession
Südgalerie
Public Possession invites you to colour in a photo wall and presents a series of posters alongside it. Together with the pennant installation in the Westgalerie, the work is entitled Sources of Optimism.
Risography – Common Ground
Auditorium
In this workshop we will look together at examples of zines, flyers and posters from the history of protest and collective action, and then use analogue tools and the technique of risography to design a joint poster series. In doing so, we question digital routines, take the knowledge and experiences of the participants as our starting point, and allow chance and incompleteness to be part of the process.
Dingfest (Open Workbench) - Common Ground
Auditorium
This open workshop features two workbenches: one centred around 3D printing and one for working with and experiencing different materials. You can join at any time, observe processes, contribute your own ideas or get actively involved – from drawing to digital translation to physical construction. New objects, approaches and conversations emerge through working together. Spontaneous, low-threshold and visible in the space.
Ctrl+Alt+Create – Common Ground
Auditorium
Ctrl+Alt+Create transforms the space into an open multimedia lab where participants work with digital freeware tools such as Blender, DaVinci Resolve or TouchDesigner. You can develop and experiment with your own content. The works created are collected, displayed and developed further within the space – as an ongoing process between learning, experimentation and presentation.
Public Possession Music Room
Atelier
The Atelier becomes an open sound lab: there are three different stations where, under the guidance of professional musicians, you can try out percussion, string and electronic instruments (drums, congas, guitar, bass, synthesiser, etc.). Come whenever suits you, stay as long as you like.
Slot 1: 4 – 5.50 pm
Slot 2: 6.05 – 7.55 pm
Slot 3: 8.10 – 9.45 pm
Build Your Own Chair – Stephan & Schmid
Terrasse
In this workshop, participants work in pairs under the guidance of professional carpenters to build a wooden seating object: step by step you assemble the parts and experience how a functional design object is created from simple materials.
The finished pieces can be taken home upon payment of the material costs, or donated to the Haus der Kunst community garden.
Slot 1: 4 – 5.30 pm
Slot 2: 7 – 8.30 pm
Hip-Hop – 5elements
Westgalerie
In these workshops, participants will get to know the various elements of Hip-Hop culture (music, rap, graffiti, dance & knowledge) as a means of self-expression, empowerment and participation. Through engagement with the history of Hip-Hop culture and its various artistic techniques, participants will experience inspiration, self-efficacy, self-confidence and their own competence. No prior knowledge required.
4 – 4.30 pm: Dive into the history of global Hip-Hop culture and its 5 elements.
Followed by four parallel workshops:
Rap & Beat: Write your own raps over beats and record them in a mobile studio.
Beatboxing: Learn the basics of beatboxing and create your own beats and vocal scratches. Graffiti: Design your own sketches and stencils and spray them onto cardboard and display boards.
