MMMHaus – Meet Make Move is entering its third year. The music label Public Possession has opened up the space and designed this year’s programme in collaboration with the Munich-based collectives Common Ground, 5elements, cleo and Über den Tellerrand kochen München e.V. As a result, the three-day event will be even more diverse, even more exciting… and will still be free for the public!
There will be a wide variety of play and participatory programmes as well as workshops, ranging from music and dance to painting, crafting, building and even skating. All activities will be led by local artists and practitioners who wish to share their passion and skills in a relaxed atmosphere.
On 1 May, MMMHaus is hosting a huge party organised by Public Possession that’s set to get the place rocking again.
MMMHaus – Meet Make Move is curated by the Department of Learning and Engagement (Sarah John, Camille Latreille, Mako Sangmongkhon and Andrea Saul), in collaboration with Public Possession and various contributors.

Contributors
cleo is a Munich-based community that advocates for a diverse, inclusive urban society. Its aim is to build bridges and create spaces where participation is actively practised and a sense of belonging is negotiated collectively. Yállá Táwlá emerged from a community project and sees itself as a participatory art and social gathering format that playfully invites people to connect with one another.
Common Ground is a transdisciplinary collective based in Munich dedicated to urban practice, spatial and knowledge mediation in and around open spaces. By revitalising vacant spaces, organising events and collaborating with cultural institutions, spaces for encounters, exchange and collaborative work are opened up. Drawing on various artistic, creative and organisational disciplines, the collective stands for diversity and inclusion. For social initiatives, artists and (youth) collectives, Common Ground offers a hub for the provision of space and knowledge, networking and community.
5elements is a non-profit association of hip-hop artists from various disciplines who have set themselves the task of passing on the opportunities, perspectives, values and artistic techniques they have gained from hip-hop culture to children, teenagers and young adults, in the hope that this will help them find direction, stability and self-confidence, as well as enabling them to express their creativity and identity.
Valentino Betz and Marvin Schuhmann founded Public Possession in 2012, driven by their shared interest in music, writing, graphic design and events. At the heart of their work lie a music and fashion label, parties and events, as well as regular print publications. The basis for all their output is an extensive system of research and archiving, a resulting combination (collage) of data, and a great openness to collaborations of all kinds. Together with their team, Marvin Schuhmann and Valentino Betz work with and for museums, cultural institutions and companies worldwide. Founded as a music label by and for DJs, Public Possession is now more than ever an integral part of international club culture.
Über den Tellerrand kochen München e.V. promotes personal interaction between people with and without experience of displacement or migration through shared cooking, thereby enabling them to get to know one another as equals and actively helping to shape an open, inclusive society.
