Info
Our family tours put children at the heart of the experience. Rather than a traditional guided tour, we look forward to a lively exchange about the questions that Tomás Saraceno raises through his artworks.
For this exhibition, the artist has created a very special work together with people from the north of Argentina. There are vast white salt flats there that look like a mirror. Beneath the ground lies lithium, an important raw material used in phone batteries and electric cars. But when the lithium is extracted, the water suffers – and water is essential for the people and animals who live there. Saraceno's artwork tells that story and makes the struggle of the local communities visible – reaching even beyond the walls of the museum.
Another project is called Museo Aero Solar. It is a giant balloon made from used plastic bags that can fly without any petrol or battery – powered only by the warmth of the sun and the air! Tomás dreams of a day when we can travel like this, without polluting the Earth.
And many more works await you in the exhibition…
Group size is limited to a maximum of 20 participants. We recommend purchasing your tour ticket online in advance. In addition, each participant requires a separate admission ticket, which can be purchased at the ticket desk or online.
