Diversity & Inclusion
Haus der Kunst München is a civic institution that understands art as a form of social exchange to which everyone is invited to participate. The artistic programme aims to be experimental, transnational and transdisciplinary. Haus der Kunst is also a meeting place: here visitors are invited to get to know and try out diverse ideas and forms of dialogue.
As a public institution, Haus der Kunst München places diversity, equality, inclusion and accessibility as core values of its work. These values are lived in all areas of the museum: from who is programmed and how the shows are developed to audience engagement and hiring of staff.
In concrete terms, this means that visitors, artists and staff are recognised, treated and valued equally - regardless of their origin, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity. This is what Haus der Kunst is committed to and this is what Haus der Kunst stands for.
