About the Exhibition Catalogue
Accompanying the exhibition “ars viva 2025. Where will we land?” at Haus der Kunst, a catalogue has been published comprising four booklets: three monographs dedicated to this year’s award recipients — Wisrah C. V. da R. Celestino, Vincent Scheers, and Helena Uambembe — and one general volume on ars viva 2025.
For the exhibition, this year's prizewinners Wisrah C. V. da R. Celestino (born 1989 in Buritizeiro, Brazil), Vincent Scheers (born 1990 in Duffel, Belgium) and Helena Uambembe (born 1994 in Pomfret, South Africa) are showing mainly newly produced works. In these works, they explore central themes of their artistic practice and experiment with new techniques.
The general volume provides an introduction to ars viva 2025 and includes a foreword, a text by Ana Teixeira Pinto, contributions on the award’s cooperation partners, and an overview of recipients since 1953. The three additional booklets each focus on the life and work of one of this year’s awardees.
