Neutrinos & Dark Matter
Haus der Kunst x Technical University of Munich x Academy of Fine Arts Munich

The collaboration between Haus der Kunst, the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and the Academy of Fine Arts Munich (AdBK) was launched with the opening event “Radio Amnion: Sonic Transmissions of Care in Oceanic Space” as part of Open Haus on 25.4.25.

At the heart of this interdisciplinary project lies the dialogue between artistic practice and scientific research: artists from AdBK, astrophysicists from TUM, and Haus der Kunst are jointly exploring questions concerning the role of scientific production in shaping society and the cultural significance of fundamental research. Conceived as a series of temporary interventions, the project will continue to unfold over the coming years within Open Haus, opening conversations around forms of knowledge, the unknown, and how we experience worlds beyond direct visibility together with the public.

Andrea Lissoni: “The project brings together cutting-edge scientific research and new generations of artists. It offers wonderful opportunities to try out new forms of exchange, education and participation. Collaborations with forward-looking institutions that share our goals and values are a fundamental vision of Haus der Kunst. We look forward to accompanying this exciting journey with TUM and the AdBK.”

The collaboration is overseen by curator Katrin Bauer (Academy of Fine Arts Munich) in close coordination with Haus der Kunst.

Elisa Resconi, Professor of Experimental Physics with Cosmic Radiation at TUM and spokesperson for the SFB1258, as well as the photography and video artist Armin Linke, Professor of Photography at the AdBK since 2024, and the Artistic Director of Haus der Kunst Andrea Lissoni are leading the collaboration.
