Info

Do you enjoy experimenting with sound? Would you like to learn more about electro-acoustic music? Then join this workshop with the artist Vincent Scheers.

In the three hours workshop, the focus will be on listening, experimenting and building your own equipment. Participants will get to know the Open Atelier and its equipment, experiment with synthesizers, drum machines, effects and unusual microphones, and discover how sounds are created and can be altered. Participants will build and solder their own instruments using oscillators or contact microphones, whilst learning the basic principles of synthesiser construction, sound design and music production.

Making music together creates space for improvisation, exchange and experimentation. The session concludes with a listening session featuring the results produced.

All age groups are welcome to the public workshops. Come on your own, with family or friends!

Children aged 10 and over may participate if accompanied by an adult. Please purchase a workshop ticket for all participants. An additional exhibition ticket is not required. The meeting point for the workshop is in the Atelier. Tickets available soon.
