On the last Friday of every month, Haus der Kunst transforms into a vibrant gathering place for everyone who enjoys art, music and community. From 4 – 10 pm, we open our doors with free admission – to our exhibitions and to a diverse programme that reinvents itself each month: creative workshops, performances, short guided tours, DJ sets, participatory formats, conversations with artists, researchers, activists and much more.
From May 2025 on, the Munich-based music label Public Possession is a regular part of Open Haus. Their new programme, “Bonus”, brings together sound, graphics and communities.
Programme in June:
- 4 – 9 pm, Community Garden Ostwiese: The community garden is continuing to get organised. We want to work together to set rules for the garden, tend to the raised beds and make the space cosy with seating and lights. What else do we need…? Come along and become part of the gardening community!
- 4 – 9 pm, Community Garden Ostwiese: We’ll also be upcycling colourful pinwheels from old Tetra Paks at a shaded table. The finished pinwheels can then be stuck into the beds or taken home. Feel free to bring your empty Tetra Paks along!
- 6 – 8 pm, Community Garden Ostwiese: Group session with Ruth Mahla and Ella von der Haide from Urban Gardens Munich. They will be sharing their knowledge on setting up community gardens and different ways of organising them.
- 4 – 9 pm, Terrasse: Open House bonus fantastic DJs like Carina Lambroy & Tanjuesch and much more.
