Info

Sabine Brantl, curator of the exhibition and head of the archive at Haus der Kunst, introduces Tao Schirrmacher’s extraordinary collection of objects recovered from the Eisbach since 2008. Over the years, a hidden archive has emerged on the bed of one of Munich’s most famous waterways – a collection of objects that preserve traces of urban life. Rather than telling Munich’s grand history, these objects offer insights into the many small stories of the city and its people.

The tour also includes the Historical Documentation on the history of Haus der Kunst, which is likewise on view in the Archiv Galerie.

Group sizes are limited to a maximum of 15 participants.

We recommend purchasing the guided tour ticket online in advance. Tickets available soon.
