Info
How does music emerge from the interplay of instrument, electronics and space? Over a coffee with Miriam Adefris, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the harpist and composer away from the stage and learn more about her musical practice.
Based in London, Adefris combines the acoustic sound of the harp with electronic sound processing. Her work moves between improvisation and composed structures, drawing on experimental music, jazz and a range of other musical influences. She is particularly interested in sound textures and how they relate to their surroundings.
As part of TUNE, Miriam Adefris will give two solo performances at Haus der Kunst on 13.11.26 and 14.11.26. The Haus Club format complements these performances and the artist talk on 14.11.26 with a more personal encounter in a small group. In the relaxed setting of the Goldene Bar, there will be time to talk to Miriam about her working methods and artistic interests, ask questions and exchange ideas.
A valid Haus Club membership card (Engage) or annual pass (365 Live) must be shown on the day of the event. Places are limited.
One coffee is included for each participant.
Please note: Engage members can also attend both TUNE performances on 13.11.26 and 14.11.26 free of charge. Advance booking is required.
