Info
The traditional Japanfest Munich takes place every July in the Englischer Garten, this year marks its 28th edition. Visitors can look forward to Japanese ceramics, ikebana, shoji woodworking, traditional games, Japanese archery, dance, and much more.
For the first time, Haus der Kunst will be present with its own booth. There, visitors can learn more about past exhibitions featuring Japanese artists at the museum, as well as explore the interactive installation by Ei Arakawa-Nash, currently on view as part of our new exhibition "For Children. Art Stories since 1968". At 1 pm, the artist invites you to join an improvised performance inspired by the spirit of the Gutai movement and open to collective participation.
You can find more information and the full programme of the Japan Festival here.
