The December issue of TUNE, in collaboration with frameless, is dedicated to artist Hye Young Sin. In compositions, installations, performances and sculptures, Hye Young Sin explores the interrelationships between sound, movement, form and material.

Her works often arise from everyday observations and practical experiments, in which she moves between the visual and the auditory with an inquiring eye.The project trashes began when Sin started saving her own daily packaging waste and noticed how each fragment bore traces of her routines and her surroundings. Consumption residues gradually revealed themselves to be a record of lived time, overlaid with social, economic and cultural context. Hye Young Sin animates the discarded objects with small motors that generate vibrations and sounds. They move freely in space, creating unpredictable rhythms on the fragile threshold between order and chaos. Through these changing patterns, the objects take on a new temporality and are no longer remnants of the past, but actively participate in the present moment.

For TUNE, Hye Young Sin will present two workshops for children on Saturday, 13.12.2025, at 1 pm and 2 pm, and a performance at 4 pm.

The performance invites us to reflect on how we perceive our environment and encourages us to rethink what we consider disposable. The sound performance is suitable for children and adults.

Tickets will be avaliable soon.
