Since spring 2026, a public garden has been taking shape on the meadow between Haus der Kunst and the Eisbachwelle: the Community Garden Ostwiese. It is a place for people to come together and work as a community, and at the same time an artistic and educational project run by the Haus der Kunst.
From autumn 2026, nature-based educational walks will be offered at the Community Garden for children aged 12 months and over and their families. Under the guidance of Dr. Sandra Tranquilli from ‘Little Wildlife Explorers’, children will be encouraged to explore their senses, nurture their natural curiosity about biodiversity, its conservation and sustainability, and develop their imagination and creativity through exploratory and scientific activities. The walks also offer an opportunity to raise children’s awareness of environmental issues.
Please purchase a workshop ticket for all participants. An additional exhibition ticket is not required.
The meeting point for the workshop is directly in the Community Garden Ostwiese.
In the event of poor weather forecasts, the event may be cancelled and/or postponed; participants will be notified 48 hours in advance.
