Info

Steina (born 1940, Reykjavík, Iceland) is a pioneer of video and media art. In her practice, the classically trained violinist creates images through sound and vice versa. From early documentary experiments to large-scale multi-channel installations, the exhibition “Steina: Playback” bears witness to her lifelong pursuit of what she terms “mechanical vision”: a playful perspective that expands perception beyond the limits of the human.

During the guided tour, you will learn more about the artist's working methods, her influences and areas of interest, as well as the creation of the exhibition.

Group size is limited to a maximum of 25 participants. The meeting point for the tour is in front of the exhibition.

We recommend purchasing the tour ticket online in advance. Tickets available soon.

Private tours can be booked at any time for your preferred date.
