Haus der Kunst processes personal data from digital artists and creatives (applicants) as part of the "HausCode" open call in order to properly conduct the application process. This includes, in particular, receiving and processing applications, reviewing and evaluating the content of the concepts submitted, selecting suitable entries, and communicating with applicants, for example in the event of queries, acceptances or rejections, and the publication of suitable entries. In addition, data is processed for internal documentation of the selection process and for organisational preparation of the commissioning of the selected concepts.

The processing of personal data is primarily based on Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO for the implementation of pre-contractual measures within the framework of the participation agreement. This applies to all processing operations that directly serve the implementation of the application process and the subsequent publication of selected concepts.

Insofar as personal data is processed for internal administrative, organisational or documentation purposes, the processing is based on Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The legitimate interest of Haus der Kunst in this regard lies in the proper, transparent and comprehensible implementation of the open call procedure and in internal quality assurance.

If you provide additional voluntary information or expressly consent to further use of your data, processing will be carried out on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO. We will inform you separately about the corresponding consent during the process. Consent that has been given can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

The personal data that applicants provide or upload during the application process will be processed. This includes, in particular, identification and contact details such as name, stage name, email address and, if applicable, telephone number. In addition, application data such as project and concept descriptions, work samples, texts, files or links to external content will be processed. Biographical details or other personal information may also be processed if provided. In the course of the technical processing of the application form, technical metadata such as IP addresses or timestamps of transmission are also generated.

Access to personal data within Haus der Kunst is restricted to those employees and departments entrusted with the implementation of the open call, as well as external consultants. In addition, personal data is processed as part of the technical handling of the application process by the form and application tool forme. The data is stored on Haus der Kunst's own servers.

Personal data will not be transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Personal data will be stored until the application process is complete. Once the process is complete, the data will be deleted within six months, provided there are no legal obligations to retain it. In the event of acceptance, the submitted documents will be further processed for the duration of publication.

The provision of personal data marked as mandatory fields in the application form is required for participation in the open call. Without this information, the application cannot be considered. Automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 DSGVO, does not take place within the framework of the open call.

For further information, in particular on the rights of data subjects and the contact details of the controller and the data protection officer, please refer to the general data protection information provided by Haus der Kunst (https://www.hausderkunst.de/datenschutz).
