Free admission, priceless experience: On the last Friday of every month, Haus der Kunst transforms into a vibrant gathering place for everyone who enjoys art, music and community. From 4 – 10 pm, we open our doors with free admission – to our exhibitions and to a diverse programme that reinvents itself each month: creative workshops, performances, short guided tours, DJ sets, participatory formats, conversations with artists, researchers, activists and much more.

Starting in May, the Munich-based music label Public Possession becomes a regular part of Open Haus. Their new programme, “Bonus”, brings together sound, graphics and communities.

Programme in May

  • 2 – 4 pm: DANCE x AKADEMIE. Performance | Mittelhalle
  • 4 – 9 pm: Launching Open Haus “Bonus” with Public Possession | Terrassensaal
    • 4 pm: Presentation and Activation of the sound systems by Public Possession
    • 4.30 pm: Talk with Valentino Betz & Marvin Schumann (Public Possession) and Andrea Lissoni & Camille Latreille (Haus der Kunst)
  • 4 – 7 pm: Ligia Lewis. study now steady. Performance | Südgalerie
  • 4 – 9 pm: Open Atelier with materials for painting and crafting | Atelier
  • 8 pm: Jefta van Dinther. Ausland. Performance (Tickets required) | Westgalerie

No prior registration is required.

Please note that the exhibition “Velvet Terrorism: Pussy Riot’s Russia” will not be accessible during Open Haus due to limited capacity in the exhibition rooms.
