Join us for the artist talk with Meredith Monk and Adam Shatz.
Meredith Monk is a composer, singer, director/choreographer, filmmaker, and creator of new opera, music-theater works, films and installations. Recognized as one of the most unique and influential artists of our time, she is a pioneer in what is now called “extended vocal technique” and “interdisciplinary performance.” Celebrated internationally, Monk’s work has been presented at major venues throughout the world.
Adam Shatz is the US editor of the London Review of Books and a contributor to The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, and other publications. He is hosting the podcast “Myself with Others” featuring creative minds in arts, culture and writing and Adam Shatz has been visiting professor at Bard College and New York University and a fellow at the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Writers and Scholars.
