Since 2022, Haus der Kunst has been undergoing a process of transformation. We are charting new paths in art history that have not yet been told and that challenge and change the existing canon. The programme continues to focus on networking and interconnecting transdisciplinary approaches and transnational perspectives with an emphasis on digitalisation. The classic form of exhibition design is being questioned and a new understanding of the format is being developed. Projects are produced on site in a physical, immersive, and interactive way.
The mission of the Haus der Kunst is to create a cross-generational place of exchange and encounter where everyone can see themselves as part of the community. Guided by the motto “Haus der Kunst is where the future happens,” the institution seeks to engage critically and imaginatively with the urgencies of the present.
