Jeremy Shaw graduated from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver in 2000. Shaw has presented solo exhibitions at the Schinkel Pavillon in Berlin, MoMA PS1 in New York, and the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art in Toronto.

His work has also been part of numerous group exhibitions at institutions including the Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art in Rotterdam, the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa, and Kunsthalle Wien in Vienna. In 2016, Jeremy Shaw’s work was part of the Manifesta 11 in Zurich and in 2017 he participated in the main exhibition at the 57th Venice Biennale “Viva Arte Viva.” In 2016 he received the Sobey Art Award. Shaw’s work is included in numerous public collections worldwide including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
