About Lecture: Thomas Ruff — the scientific artist%

Developed over a period of more than three decades, the diversity and complexity of Thomas Ruff's oeuvre make it unique in the history of art photography. His methodical approaches can be understood as visual research. In his lecture, the exhibition's curator Thomas Weski presents the background and criteria of this research, as well as the work development of the scientific artist Thomas Ruff.

In 2009, after working at the Sprengel Museum in Hanover, the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, and Haus der Kunst in Munich, Thomas Weski began teaching "The Culture of Curating" at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig.
