Meet the Artist – Isabel Lewis

Who is Isabel Lewis? Meet the Berlin-based choreographer and artist. In her work, she composes situations that address all the senses. She deals with themes such as open source technology and dance improvisation, dance as a cultural archive and body technologies of the future. Trained in literary criticism, dance, and philosophy her work takes the form of music sessions, parties and ‘hosted occasions’. Coined by Lewis, the occasion is a format situated between the exhibition and theatre formats.
