About this educational worksheet

Haus der Kunst offers pupils of all ages an extensive program of activities, ranging from one-hour guided tours or workshops to our video workshop formats. Programs can be tailored to meet the needs of individual school classes.

Based on examples found in our current exhibitions, pupils can explore topics related to the fine arts, history, German, religion and ethics, social science, and politics, and develop their own related questions. Teachers planning to visit Haus der Kunst with their classes are welcome anytime. We look forward to your visit.

A Teachers’ Guide related to the exhibition “Postwar: Art between the Pacific and the Atlantic, 1945-1965” can be downloaded here. This booklet is therefore designed to be used both within the exhibition and as a point-of-reference for subsequent discussion in the classroom. Each section begins with a short introduction, then focuses on a few selected artworks that serve as entry-points into wider issues addressed in the exhibition. The texts give also a glossary of terms and certain themes and issues, which can become catalysts for further discussion within your group.
