Event overview
With the series "past statements. Denkmäler in der Diskussion", Munich ties in with the international and local discussion about memorials that are worth discussing and stimulates critical, multi-voiced and creative debates about forms and contents of remembrance in a diverse and democratic urban society. In this context, Public Art München, the programme for art in public space of the Department of Culture, invited artists to critically and artistically engage with problematic places of remembrance in the form of temporary projects. The walk leads to the artistic interventions in the city and invites you to talk to many of the artists involved in the series.
