Ask a Curator Day
Twitter 19.09.12
A question on Twitter – an answer on Twitter. Our curators Sabine Brantl (Histories in Conflict, Art for All), Patrizia Dander (Image Counter Image, Sculptural Acts, Less is More – Collection Daled, Golden Times), León Krempel (Image Counter Image, Cardiff/Miller – Works from the Goetz Collection, Future of Tradition – Tradition of the Future), and Julienne Lorz (DER ÖFFENTLICHKEIT, Image Counter Image, Sculptural Acts, Ai Weiwei) have answered your art-related questions on Twitter.
Many interesting questions were raised, and a selection of these was documented via Storify. One question, however, was too complex to answer in 140 characters: "How does one 'exhibit' history?"
Here is one answer

The exhibition "So Sorry" by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei was accompanied by a blog that contained images, texts, and videos about the exhibition's four-week installation, and its extensive public program. It also ran entries dealing with the artist's violent arrest in China, his ensuing health problems, and his emergency operation in Munich – all documented by Ai Weiwei as a sign of his artistic freedom.
