Rise and Fall of Apartheid

Workshop 16.03.13, 12 am

We examine what measures (e.g. public signage, townships) were used to implement and enforce the policy of racial segregation. In the images of apartheid, we also explore recurring signs and gestures: The thumbs up, the clenched fist, the victory symbol, all of which represent solidarity and unity, uprising and the struggle against oppression, with the aim of civil rights and equality for all.

Workshop for children from ten to fourteen years of age
2,5 hours / 9 € per child / reservations required
