Histories in Conflict: Seven days, seven stories
Public tour / German 05.01 – 11.01.13
What do the Hollywood actor Edward G. Robinson and documenta founder Arnold Bode have to do with Haus der Kunst? Why did the Foreign Office issue a warning in 1954 before the Picasso exhibition opened in Haus der Kunst? And what is the meaning behind the signatures in the "House of German Art’s" "Golden Book"? At the conclusion of the exhibition "Histories in Conflict: Haus der Kunst and Ideological Use of Art, 1937–1955", from January 5 to 11, a 45-minute tour will take place each day, probing one of these and other questions. Each tour is based on an exhibit in the show: In seven days, seven stories will be told to participating visitors.
