Kelly in Munich / App for iPad and iPhone
Parallel to the "black & white" exhibition at Haus der Kunst, the Staatliche Graphische Sammlung at the Pinakothek der Moderne will be showing "plant drawings" by Ellsworth Kelly (07 oct 11 > 08 jan 12). The "Kelly in Munich" iPhone and iPad app was released for both of these exhibitions. iIn addition to photos and descriptions of the exhibits, it also offers a personal look into the biography of the artist.
The app was developed in a close cooperation with the artist and allows the user for the first time to get really close to his drawings and paintings. Brush strokes and pencil lines of each individual work can be followed in great detail. Original sound, audiovisual elements and concise texts create a new media introduction to the art of Ellsworth Kelly.
The "Kelly in Munich" app is available in German and English. It was created by Sieveking in Munich and can be downloaded for free in the app store.

Blog, Web 2.0
The exhibition "So Sorry" by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei was accompanied by a blog that contained images, texts, and videos about the exhibition's four-week installation, and its extensive public program. It also ran entries dealing with the artist's violent arrest in China, his ensuing health problems, and his emergency operation in Munich – all documented by Ai Weiwei as a sign of his artistic freedom.
