Developed over a period of more than three decades, the diversity and complexity of Thomas Ruff's oeuvre makes it unique in the history of art photography. His methodical approaches can be understood as visual research. In this talk, the exhibition's curator, Thomas Weski, questioned the artist in regard of the backgrounds and criteria of his research, as well as his work development.
