Postwar: Art Between the Pacific and the Atlantic, 1945–1965

Workshop 6 until 12 years Saturday, 25.03, 11 am

ART LAB III: Portraits – Images of people
Everyone has tried – at some point or another – to paint or draw people, or tried to make a portrait of him/herself, or another. Although this is fun, it is not always easy. The workshop begins with a tour of our exhibition “Postwar – Art between the Pacific and Atlantic, 1945 – 1965”, where we will discover paintings of people that were made between 1945 and 1965. What can you observe and see; what seems unusual? We will make sketches and studies in the exhibition, right in front of the artworks. Back in the studio, you will have the time to discover the individualist in you, and use it to paint or draw your own self-portrait, which you will take home, and show, and remember.
