Postwar: Art Between the Pacific and the Atlantic, 1945–1965
Workshop 6 until 12 years 11.03.17, 11 am
ART LAB II
In specific chapters of the exhibition, we will look at how various artists from around the world dealt with memory, experiences, and new beginnings following World War Two. Their choice of material and form also reveal the eventful course of the 20th century after 1945. Based on individual works, we will explore the unusual life paths of selected artists, who guide us around the globe. What role did an artist’s cultural background and personal experience have on his or her work? Employing unusual materials and new techniques in the studio, you will test your own ideas and imagination to create installations.
Registration reserves a spot for both you and your child. If for some reason you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible.
