Capsule 07 Oscar Murillo/ Capsule 08 Polina Kanis/ Der Öffentlichkeit: Sarah Sze

Public tour / German Thursday, 07.12, 8 pm

Guided tours of the Capsule exhibitions and DER ÖFFENTLICHKEIT: Sarah Sze take place every 1st Thursday of the month at 8 pm.

Within only a few years, Oscar Murillo has developed one of the most exciting contemporary artistic practices. While he primarily uses the medium of painting, he defies its conventions in a radical way: he integrates video and drawing, sculptural, installational and performative elements within his presentations.

Polina Kanis (born 1985 in Leningrad, now Saint Petersburg) has consistently reconsidered the boundaries between film, photography and performance. Expanding upon a practice consisting chiefly of single-channel videos, Polina Kanis has developed a new, immersive three-channel installation for her exhibition at Haus der Kunst. In   The Procedure (2017) Kanis takes a fictional museum building as the starting point for her meditations on collectivity and division.

Tours are two-hours long and cost two euros; registration is not required. Payment is requested prior to the tour at the admission desk; no extra admission fee for the exhibition is required.

Private tours can also be booked for the time of your choice.
